Welcome to the official (as recognized by the National Constitution Party) website of the Constitution Party of Texas!

The Constitution Party of Texas was formed in 1996, in Conroe, Texas.  We are currently in our 12th year, and experiencing some growing pains, always a healthy problem. 

WEBSITES
For over a decade our website was www.CPTexas.org/, but the generosity of a friend who paid the domain names turned out to be a disaster when he went off the web, and did not receive the notices to renew.  That website was snagged by pirates who are now holding it for ransom for thousands of dollars, which they are not going to get. 

There are now several county and regional organizations in Texas who have their own websites, not one of which has been approved by the Executive Committee, but which the party has not challenged, for two reasons.  First, we are always happy to see volunteer activity and commitment.  Second, the EC has not yet formulated an official state policy toward these unofficial websites.  However, for legal reasons, we cannot grant official status to websites not directly under the control of the leadership of the party.

FINANCES
Donations to the party may still be made on PayPal, and we are certainly in need of them!  Perhaps you can join as a regular donor --
  • Lifetime Memberships currently cost $500, which may go up next year. Save money, join now!"
  • The Daily Dollar Club will cost you a dollar a day, about $30 a month, and will provide us with $365 a year.
  • Alexander Hamilton Club will cost you $10 a month, or $120 a year.
  • Sustaining Member will help us with $52 a year (a dollar a week).

LEADERSHIP
We are currently in a leadership crisis.  We desperately need strongly principled men and women to step forward and help us hold up a higher standard -- a Constitutional standard -- to which disillusioned voters can turn for a party who will not "waste their votes."  We need:
  • volunteers to coordinate unorganized counties, and to chair organized counties;
  • a volunteer to edit a newsletter;
  • volunteers to report on what's happening in their counties;
  • regional coordinators and chairmen;
  • a director of development;
  • a blogmaster;
  • a coordinator of campaign materials;
  • a Ballot Access Coordinator in your county for next year;
  • etc.

The two major political parties are controlled by self-serving politicians who have no regard for the Constitution of the United States, even though some give it lip service.  This is proven by the demonstrable fact that, when the Democrats gain power, they invariably steer the country to the Left, true to their long-time socialist and communist roots.  But when the Republicans gain power, do they move us back toward the Constitution?  They do not.  They consolidate the new leftist position of the Democrats! 

Witness, for example, the current debacle over socialized health care - a purely communist proposal.  The Democrats want it all, and the currently impotent Republicans exacerbate the problem by suggesting limits on the program, trying to tone it down, giving us "Socialized Medicine Lite".  In fact, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham's office was quoted recently, telling callers, "You have to understand who won the election, and roll over and play ball, or you get nothing."  Words of a traitor, in our opinion.  That's precisely why so many people have come to realize that "GOP" apparently stands for "Group of Prostitutes" -- they have this great platform which is absolutely meaningless to those who laugh at their grass-roots members, and vote to promote deficit spending, socialism, and personal power.

Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  Well, Americans have been tricked into voting for "the lesser of two evils" in every election since World War II, and look where it has brought us.  If the USA does not wake up to the insanity of electing politicians who care more about pork for their district than for a balanced budget and a government under the constraints of the Constitution, then there is no chance that our children will grow up in a free country. 

EVERY LAW reduces someone's freedom.  We don't need more laws, we need fewer laws!  We need a return to Liberty.  That means the opportunity to succeed -- and the opportunity to fail!  Nothing teaches us more than failure.  A government dedicated to keeping people from failing is a government which will eventually guarantee us that no one will succeed.

Standing alone on principle is the right thing to do.  Getting a few friends to join you means you are no longer standing alone.  Your support for the Constitution Party of Texas means we are less "alone" every day, as we help people see how wasting their votes in the past has resulted in wasting our country.
